NA12

The Geddes Loudspeakers NA12

The NA12 (New Abbey) has been completed and the data is posted below and in the PolarMap program. This new design uses the new neodymium drivers from B&C and a new cabinet design which uses the same waveguide as that found in the NS15 but with a smaller 12" woofer. The enclosure is the same physical size as the current Abbey, but the systems weight will be lower due to the use of neodymium magnets.

The remarkable performance shown below is for a passive crossover system. No other passive Geddes speaker will perform this well.

The top curve is the standard frequency response at some off-axis angle, here 18°. The red curve is the power response and the white curve is the Directivity Index (DI). Ideally the power response and axial response should fall gradually while maintaining a flat DI. The NA12 represents comparable performance to its larger partner the NS15.

From about 100 Hz to about 10 kHz and from the axis out to about 30° the response is uniform within a few dB - a remarkable feat.

This is a closed box design and is intended to be used with multiple subs, however, ported designs are possible for extended low end should the use of multiple subs (highly recommended) not be desirable.

  • Size: 29" x 16" x 13"
